When I was younger, this was a problem for me. I worried about what others thought of me. In my mind, I felt I didn’t measure up to others and it bothered me. It was years later when I met a woman who taught me several lessons about life.
One of those lessons was, it is better to have people speaking about you than to have them ignoring you.
While I accepted her explanation at the time, as I have grown older, I have come to realize, it is our own insecurities that cause us to believe others are talking about us when the truth of the matter is, they are too busy worrying about their own lives, business and concerns. They don’t have time to waste on thinking about you or me.
Instead of worrying about what others think of us, let’s think about what we can do today to improve our lives and maybe help make a difference in someone else’s life.
Until next time, take care. lw
